Thanks to Carol and David Booth, from Cannons Creek Independent School, for taking us sailing on their beautiful boat Necessity. We were asked to ‘crew’ as part of their team competing in the Inter Professions Team Race that took place in Table Bay on the 14th of May, which is organized by the Royal Cape Yacht Club. (http://www.rcyc.co.za)

We are proud to say that our ‘architecture team’ we were competing in claimed 1st place, beating the Engineers to the top spot (with our yacht coming in 3rd place in our ‘architecture group’). Overall Necessity claimed 8th spot out of 44 entrants! Not bad for a yacht filled with crew who had never even sailed before! We now have even more respect for our hosts and can gladly say that we will hang on to our day jobs for now!
