CTICC II WINS 2019 SAPOA AWARD FOR OVERALL TRANSFORMATION

The CTICC II East Extension, done in collaboration with SVA and MDL, has been awarded the 2019 SAPOA Award for Overall Transformation.

The Cape Town Convention Centre East Extension, located in the Foreshore of Cape Town, links to the original CTICC via a new pedestrian link bridge crossing the Heerengracht, one of the main axis facing the harbour. The new building, extending the programme of the orginal CTICC, engages with the City on various fronts and, according to the SAPOA judges, have contributed to the overall transformation, spatially and economically, of that part of the Foreshore.
